Tell us about yourself and your research interests?
I am a resident biologist in my second year in the Department of Immunology. I am interested in immunodeficiencies, food allergies and autoimmunity in the pediatric population. In Morocco, there is little research in these topics and statistics are lacking, so I am drawn to these areas, especially immunodeficiencies. We are noticing a high number of consanguinity prevalence in children with immunodeficiency diseases. Autoimmune diseases have also increased in recent years, such as Celiac disease and Crohn's disease with many factors implicated including; changing food habits, heredity and environment.
