Tell us about yourself and your research interests?
I am a veterinary surgeon with a Masters in Microbiology. I have previously worked on sequencing and proteomic based techniques in a quest to improve the diagnosis of acute non-traumatic coma at the Kenyan coast. Additionally, I have been involved in protocol optimization studies for disease proteomics.

I am currently interested in evaluating the role of early HIV-specific T and B cell interactions in determining downstream neutralizing and non-neutralizing antibody function in chronic HIV. The determination of early immunological correlates that influence the development of broadly neutralizing and non-neutralizing antibodies in HIV may offer coherent approaches and elucidate pathways towards an effective HIV vaccine.
