Tell us about yourself and your research interests?
My Main research area is Immuno-Biotechnology; understanding the mechanism(s), the signalling pathway(s), and the cell kinetics of the immune system that underlie the immune regulation and protection against infectious diseases especially Neglected Tropical Diseases that blight the lives of a billion people worldwide and threaten the health of millions more.
I do like everything about scientific research; doing experiments, being in the lab, excitement, passion, and enthusiasm to get new results and find new discoveries. Every day there is new findings/discoveries and tools that open the doors for more research and more discoveries to be done.
I do hope that my future contributions to the field would have a positive impact on people’s life. Indeed my favourite quote is “Always remember that you are doing research neither for recognition, acknowledgements nor rewards but to be, may be one day, a reason for relieving patient's pain”.
