I am passionate about Neglected Tropical diseases (NTDs) also called “ Diseases of poverty” which affect mostly people in remote and rural areas in Sub -saharan Africa .My research was about evaluating 2 tandem repeats antigens TbgI2 and TbgI17 if they can be helpful in Human African trypanosomiasis diagnosis .The antigens cloned in pET 52b were expressed in E.coli and then purified using Immobilized Metal Affinity Chromatography.

I hold a Bsc in Biological sciences from the University of Burundi and a Msc degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Pan African University, Kenya. Thereafter , the recombinantly produced antigens were coupled to magnetic beads and then evaluated using a Multiplex platform (Bio-Plex 200).
