Andreas Bergthaler is a principal investigator at the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, Austria. He first studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, then began a career in immunology.
